Galatians 3:5-14

We often get caught trying to earn approval from God, rather than living from the place of already being approved by Him. The Bible teaches us we are right before God because of our trust in Christ not because of our religious performance. Every good thing we’ve been given by God we’ve received by faith not human effort. 

 

“I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.” Galatians 3:5

• Where have you been trying to obtain favour from God through your own effort?

If you want to go a little deeper, why not try this exercise

 

Find somewhere comfortable and close your eyes. Breathe slowly. Try and release any tension in your body. As you breathe in quietly say the phrase “I am here” and when you breathe out quietly say the phrase “and you are with me”. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you any areas you’ve been striving, as He reveals them, release them. Finish by asking God to help you become more aware of His favour in your life.
