Prayer and Fast
Okay, folks - this is a guide to help you know how and what to pray over the next few days.
Day 1 - the Way of Jesus for our families, neighbourhoods, workplaces, city & region
Consider your family, neighbourhood, community, workplace and our city/ region. What would it look like for Jesus to Have His Way?
Ask God 3 things - 1) What is the need I'm most aware of? 2) What is His solution? 3) What part is He asking me to play?
Day 2 - Morning - the power and presence of Jesus with us
Pray for more of God’s presence and power in your life.
Pray for a greater awareness of (and expectation for) His powerful love at work among us as a church.
Pray for a revelation of what He’s made available to you and I, as we take courageous steps to show His powerful love to others in our everyday.
Day 2 - Evening - Father, help us as we love
Pray for areas of your own life that God highlights where he’s asking you to forgive, honour or ask forgiveness from others.
Pray for unity within Foyle Vineyard and across the churches in our city.
Pray for true humility and gentleness to run deep in your life and in the lives of others.
Pray for confidence in who we are and what God has given you, pray for courage and boldness to step into it.
Day 3 - Morning - our hearts overflow with thanksgiving
Pray with gratitude thanking God for all that He has done in this last year (even if it’s been a difficult year).
Pray with praise for who God is and all that He has purposed to do.
Pray with thanksgiving for your own salvation and for God’s invitation for you to play a part in His purposes on the earth.
Day 3 - Evening - commissioned to go
Pray, allowing the commission of Jesus to go – to impact your heart
Revisit some of the needs you identified in Day 1 and ask God – what is the next step you want me to take to GO – be prepared for risk
Pray for boldness and courage to share the life of Jesus with those around you
Pray for opportunities this year to see people set free, rescued from darkness, healed and made whole – resolve to play your part
